Surrounding area
Wałcz is a unique place. Areas full of forests and lakes, as well as attractions referring to the military history of the area, make tourists flock to Walcz every year, and local residents are no less keen to explore the charming terrain.

We are proud that Aparthotel Wałcz is fortunate to be part of the beautiful landscape of the Wałcz area. The location of our hotel favours access to the most attractive recreational, sports or tourist areas. The region is famous for its clean lakes abundant with fish, well-maintained beaches or interesting canoeing on rivers: Dobrzyca, Piława, Rurzyca. The staff of our facility are lovers of their small homeland, so they will be happy to suggest where to go to spend a pleasant time in Wałcz and its surroundings.
What to visit in the area? Above all, we recommend the Pomeranian Wall, part of the system of fortifications on the eastern border of the Third Reich, linked in the south to the Międzyrzecz Fortified Region and the Oder Line. This post-war military remnant is a popular tourist attraction, as is the associated Museum of the Struggle for the Pomeranian Embankment or the open-air military museum called Grupa Warowna Cegielnia.
The Kłosowski Bridge is another recommendable attraction in the Wałcz area. It is a suspension bridge over Raduń Lake, which connects the reservoir with a narrow trough reservoir. It is 85 metres long and replaced a wooden bridge in 1978. It provides access to the aforementioned fortifications of the Pomeranian Wall. It was along it that the great names of Polish sport ran, who lived to see their honour in another tourist attraction - the Walecko Sports Star Avenue. This route is located in the eastern part of Walcz and is a place of remembrance for local Olympic athletes. Special platforms and vantage points feature plaques of almost sixty recognised sports champions, including Winand Osiński, Jan Mulak, Alojzy Graj, Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak, Jerzy Chromik, Stanisław Ożóg, Kazimierz Zimny, Marian Jochman, Witold Baran, Zbigniew Makomaski, Zbigniew Orywał, Lech Boguszewski, Stanisław Lewandowski and Marian Matłoło.
When staying at Aparthotel Wałcz, it is worth visiting the nearby "Magic Hill", one of the few points in Poland and in the world where the phenomenon of so-called antigravity occurs. Also called the "magic hill", the Wałcz attraction is a place where all vehicles, objects or even elements of nature seem to move uphill, breaking the laws of physics that prevail there. It is one of the most interesting attractions for everyone - young and old.
Aparthotel Wałcz is an excellent accommodation base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings. We can help you organise any trip, suggest where and when to go, we are at your disposal and will make your visit to Wałcz comfortable, safe and unforgettable.
